Free Crochet Valentine Patterns

It's time to crochet some gifts for Valentine's Day. Here you'll find plenty of free crochet patterns for Valentine's Day. Included are hearts, doilies, potholders, coasters,special gifts and more. Even a pattern for a Box of Chocolates that is realistic is included.

This free heart sampler square could be used for a variety of projects from an afghan to a potholder. She used worsted weight yarn and a size G hook. The square is crocheted with red and white yarn, but you could use any colors you have on hand.

These amigurumi love bugs are so cute. One is crocheted in boy colors and one for girls. These would make great Valentine Day gifts or for any time of the year. Worsted weight yarn was used and a size G crochet hook.

Red Heart Soft Yarn was used in this project. I can see these cute little hearts being used for all sorts of purposes. They'd make cute pin cushions, sachets or just cute little hearts for fun. The finished heart is about 3" tall.

The box of chocolate pattern would make not only a nice Valentines gift, but the box pattern is precious in itself. It would make a nice gift anytime of the year. It was created with Red Heart Luster Sheen yarn. You'll need to download the free pattern to your computer.

This pretty heart doily is crocheted with size 10 crochet thread and a size 8 steel crochet hook. The doily would make a great gift or could be used for home decor all year round.

Make these coasters in red for Valentine Day or make them in any color you choose. Just use scraps of leftover light worsted weight yarn.

You'll need scraps of red worsted weight yarn and small amounts of cotton yarn and a size I and F hook. The finished coasters are beautiful.

You'll need red, light pink, and dark pink worsted weight yarn. A size E crochet hook is also required, plus stuffing. She includes several photos to guide you along the way, so this would make a great beginner project.

You'll need a small amount of red yarn or whatever color you'd like the roses, small amount of green worsted weight yarn, green pipe cleaner or a chenille stem, a size G crochet hook, and a scissors. Included with this pattern are step-by-step photos.

You can't beat this pattern, because it is crocheted with recycled plastic bags with a red heart on the front. You'll need approximately 12 plastic bags to make the plarn you need. Plarn is just a word for plastic yarn is you aren't familiar with this term already. You'll also need 2 yards of fun fur yarn, small scrap piece of red felt, red thread and a size J hook. If you don't have the fun fur, I think any red yarn will work.

The page includes how to make a basic heart, a heart motif, a heart pouch, and several afghan squares. Patterns for all of these projects are included.

The pillow is beautiful and is crocheted with different types of thread. The pattern appears to be vintage due to the materials used. One of the products is size 5 pearl cotton, so I'd assume you could use that.

The heart pattern is rated Easy, so any crocheter can crochet it. It is 8" wide and 7" high. She suggest using it on your desk, attaching to a valentine, or putting hearts together to make a garland.

The heart is crocheted with DK weight yarn and fingering yarn. You will also need a size E and G crochet hook.

The candy baskets would be perfect party favors. You could just fill them with candy hearts. The little baskets are crocheted with scraps of red and white worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook.

This is a simple hat to crochet and one size fits all adults. She suggests using a thinner yarn for children't hats. You will need dishcloth cotton to crochet the hat. After the hat is completed you can decorate it with ribbons, heart shaped buttons or whatever you'd like.

The headband is super easy and quick to crochet. It is adjustable so will fit any size. It can be decorated anyway you'd like.

This free Valentine card pattern has a pretty thread crocheted heart on the front. You'll need some stationary to make the card and fine cotton thread to crochet the heart. A size 2.5 mm hook was used.

This pretty heart garland would be nice to decorate the home. You'll need just small amounts of red and white yarn and a size H hook to complete the project.

You'll need red and white worsted weight cotton yarn and a size H crochet hook. This heart shaped dishcloth is a Maggie Weldon design.

This cute owl has a heart-shaped body. You'll need worsted weight yarn, a size G crochet hook, eyes and stuffing to crochet this cutie.

You will need to download the PDF page to get this pattern and have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. The pattern uses DK weight yarn. In place of that you could use a light worsted weight. You'll also need a 3mm hook, a pair of 9 mm safety eyes, a yarn needle and stuffing. This looks like an easy project to complete.

If you want to crochet a mouse, this is a cute one. She wears a dress and has red and white striped legs. This is a standing toy. You will need 3 colors of worsted weight yarn and a size F, G and I crochet hook plus stuffing.

This is an extra nice pattern. You'll need Knit-Cro-Sheen, a size E and H hook and a size 6 steel crochet hook.

This page offers patterns for heart doilies, potholders, hot pad, placemats, wreath, and a table set. The patterns are free and all extra nice.

One skein of Lion Chenille yarn, a size G hook, floral leaves, floral tape and floral wire are needed to make these beautiful roses. This would make a great gift for a special loved one or make a few for a vase for decor for your home.
